Child Life at the Hospital commissioned us to create a mural for the pediatric wainting room to offer some tranquility in a place of natural nervousness. We chose an undersea theme that spans 25 feet accompanied by a "scavanger hunt" list for kids to find and identify species.

Porthole windows look into the room from the corridor using printed transparent vinyl laminated to existing square glass

The mural is populated by 42 species of marine animals and a garden of seaweeds. All are native to Long Island Sound. A hand-out list with pictures, names and check boxes gives young pations the opportunity to find all the species.
